Behind the scenes

For the Danish science fiction QEDA, directed by Max Kestner, we created a large, realistic miniature for one of the vfx sequences.

It was built in scale 1/6. Windows and bricks were modelled in 3D and then 3D printed. From there we made silicon molds, so we could produce the needed amount in plaster and resin.

The miniature was shot with a technodolly motion control, and composited with live action green screen foreground plates.
